Tulis to address Libertarian event

Independent Chattanooga journalist David Tulis says he sees little hope in any solution to the national debt crisis, which he predicts will be solved by the federal government’s repudiating its debt and a parallel effort by the Federal Reserve System “to clear its own books by a mass inflation.”

While Congress and President Obama are incapable of cutting spending, Tulis said, local people can do a great deal to secure their future by thinking in terms of local economy and investment.

Tulis will speak to Chattanooga-area libertarians Sept. 27, a Thursday, at the Rib & Loin restaurant at 5946 Brainerd Road. He is scheduled to speak about local economy and free markets at 6:45 p.m. A meal will precede his presentation.

The speaker runs a libertarian-oriented website, Nooganomics.com, for which he argues for “noogacentrism,” political autonomy, economic decentralization and free market capitalism. He is editor of a local home education newsletter, Esprit, and is a father of four children, ages 9 to 20.

The event is sponsored by The Libertarian Party of Southeastern Tennessee, http://www.facebook.com/LPSET .
